Welcome to the future home of the Brooklyn Christian Youth Center. We were interested in renting the above space in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, but unfortunately it has been leased to someone else. However, you can still help support us as we look for another suitable location by signing up for one of our math bootcamps, enrolling your child in our virtual learning center, or by opening a church membership.
The reason why we need a place like this is because we're living in a post pandemic world where social skills seem to be at an all-time low. Young people need a place to have face to face fun in ways that don't involve the use of a phone or video game with someone they've never met in person and lives thousands of miles away. Morals are also on the decline, and kids need to learn that the Christian life is the only way to experience true success in this world and the next. Your support will allow us to offer the following services to the youth of NYC.
- Homeschool coop meeting center: Sometimes homeschoolers can feel isolated. To help combat this, we would like to provide a space for homeschoolers to meet on a regular basis for recreation, physical education, and chapel services.
- Overnight youth retreats: Our facility would be available for churches to host overnight youth retreats on Friday nights.
- Kids 3-on-3 Basketball, Table Tennis, and Video Game Tournaments: We would host tournaments for kids to be able to play against each other. No trophies or prizes will be awarded. This would be just so that young people are able to compete for fun.
- Christian Youth Center: In an effort to reach our goal of providing a great opportunity for fellowship among Christian youth, we're looking to be able to open our center free of charge at least once per week for youth to play Basketball, Table Tennis, Air Hockey, PS4/PS5 and Nintendo Switch games.
- Virtual Learning Center: As an alternative to public and private school, our virtual learning center will allow working parents to have a third option for their child. You would find your own curriculum and drop them here between the hours of 8 and 4. We would ensure your child is staying on task and be available to provide limited assistance with schoolwork for grades up to middle school. The center will operate at the future location of the community center, but in the interim, it will operate out of Maceus Studios, located at 175-25 139th Rd, Springfield Gardens, NY.
If you would like to take part in the establishment of this youth center, please invest in one or more of our services. The proposed location will be either Brooklyn, Queens, or Nassau County.
